Continuing expansion across Canada, Brightsquid Secure Communications Corp. was today welcomed into the MaRS Health Venture Services program.
The world’s largest urban innovation hub, MaRS Discovery District, was founded in Toronto in 2000 dedicated to “improving health outcomes by building high-impact, high-growth ventures and innovative health ecosystems… working to improve society for future generations.” MaRS Health is a natural next step in Brightsquid’s expansion through Eastern Canada because of a mutual focus on connecting medical professionals, patients, records, and research using digital tools.
Joining this acceleration program gives Brightsquid new access to industry-leading partners with global expertise in healthcare markets. MaRS, the commercialization hub of Toronto’s Discovery District, provides burgeoning companies with physical space as well as access to networks and capital. Applying into the program was an important step toward Brightsquid opening office space in Toronto.
