HIPAA Omnibus Guide

On March 26, 2013 the HIPAA Omnibus final rules went into effect. According to The US Department of Health and Human Services the final rules are the "most sweeping changes" to the Privacy and Security Rules since they were first implemented. Your dental practice is required to be in compliance of these new rules by September 23, 2013. We recommend having a HIPAA meeting in your practice to review this guide and start the conversation and motivate your staff on the new regulations. For a recording of the recent webinar on the new HIPAA Omnibus rules please visit the page Missed the Omnibus - Your Practice Guide on the New HIPAA Rules.
